About Me

I am a postdoctoral astronomer at UC San Diego studying the atmospheres of brown dwarfs and giant exoplanets with the long term goal of bridging our understanding of these distant worlds with the giant planets of our own solar system. I am especially interested in how the atmospheres of giant planets respond to their host stars and surrounding space environment through phenomena like auroras, flares, and photochemistry. I use high-resolution, near-infrared spectroscopy with both ground- and space-based telescopes to probe these interactions, as well as to understand the atmospheric structures of giant planets more broadly.
